I found this 50-minute video posted on the internet about two months ago, in which the 2nd man of al-Qaeda, Ayman Al-Thawahiri, shows up briefly for few minutes to introduce and authenticate 'Azzam The American' - An American Jew who converted to Islam and joined al-Qaeda -, then the latter gives a message that lasts for 45 minutes, in which he attempts to explain and invite Americans to the religion of Submission to the God.
The video was available online to download until recently, but now I could only find it in YouTube, I don't know if it will stay there for a long time.
This is the first part of the video, where Al-Thawahiri introduces Azzam, and the first minutes of Azzam's speech.
For the rest of the video, here are the links:

To be honest, this is the first time I actually hear about this Azzam the American guy, but when I googled his name, I got over 36000 results. (which is, by the way, almost equal to the number that you would get if you googled any regular blogger's name, including my own name!) I also learnt that he was the first American to be charged with treason since World War II !
I dunno if Americans are very loyal people to their government, or just indifferent of it.

Well, there are about 300 million Americans, and only one has been charged with treason since World War II.
So it's reasonable to assume Americans are loyal to their government.
I hope they accept the invitation inshaAllah.
There are plenty of Muslims in America (approximately 7 million) and we have the fastest growing religion here. Muslims can be American patriots (I've said it before and I'll say it again) DISSENT IS PATRIOTISM. It is patriotic to disagree with the government and it always has been. That, in fact is what our government is founded upon.
I like your blog (many of the posts are quite well written and informative), but really that sweeping generalization is unnecessary. There are certainly Christians who are mad and want a Confederacy and slavery... there are people who wish the Pacific Northwest (Washington Oregon and California) could cecede and become their own nation. There are people in the two afore mentioned states that wish California would fall into the ocean BUT they are still patriotic.
I value lots of things like universal health care, alternative fuel sources, and peace talks. I never voted for the current cowboy administration (neither did over %50 of Americans BOTH TIMES). Yet I am a patriot. Being loyal Americans can mean disagreement with the government. It's part of that free speech thing (Our first Amendment rights) which are occasionally stamped upon by current said administration.
Don't judge us all by one guy, just as many people need to quit judging All Muslims, All French, All Bosnian, All Kroats, All Somalis, or ALL ANYTHING.
Peace~Sallam,

Well now, hold on a minute. Its our duty to check the government if they are going astray or using their power in a way they were not intended to use it for, but it is not patriotic to dissent. It is not patriotic to fight against the government just for the sake of it, but is our duty to fight against the government if they have strayed from what our government was really founded upon such as freedom, equality, and the pursuit of happiness, in short, the constitution of the United States. Only in defense of those principles is it patriotic to dissent.
